Prof. Cui has long been active in scientific research and teaching of urban planning and architecture. He made the list of "Tianfu ten thousand talents program" and served as an academic and technical leader of Sichuan Province, the leader of scientific research and innovation team & platform of higher educations in Sichuan Province, and the director of innovation platform of traffic architecture design and planning. He also enjoys titles of director of China Urban Planning Society, executive director of underground space Academic Committee of the Architectural Society of China (ASC), executive director of computational design academic committee of ASC, and member of TOD integrated planning and management committee of World Transport Convention. He obtained one first prize of science and technology progress award of Sichuan Province (ranking the second), presided over two surface projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China, and completed more than 20 research projects such as provincial and ministerial major scientific and technological projects. Moreover, he has published more than 40 papers and 2 monographs, responsible for completing more than 30 design projects upon urban and rural planning and transportation planning. He has been to Imperial College of technology, Nagoya University of Japan, Oklahoma State University and other leading institutions for visiting scholars or academic exchanges.
